Since my family was in town for the birthday festivities, we decided to also include Madden's Baby Dedication at our church in the weekend plans. So, after an eventful Saturday night, we all met at
Preston Road Church of Christ (ON TIME, I might add!) and publicly dedicated our boy to the Lord. Most people do these when their baby is well - a baby - but we couldn't find a good time for all the family to be present, so we waited until he was 1 year old....but Madden did GREAT! He was so grateful for his new Bible that he started chewing on it....Nice.
Our preacher, Scott said some nice words about us, read a scripture and our children's minister prayed over us. It was very sweet. The praise team also sang 'I Bless You'. We are so grateful for our church - lots of special friends there! May God continue to guide us as we raise this little boy to know Him....
After church, we headed to Cantina Laredo for lunch. We had 1 LOOOONNNNGGGG table for 20 people......
How wonderful to have our families join us for a weekend full of special events!
