The hot weather has already arrived here in Texas - but not too hot where we can be outside.....yet! So, we have been doing a few fun summer things lately!
A couple of weekends ago we went up to Lake Texoma. Uncle Randy took us on a boat ride - a first for Madden! He was excited at first, but then nervous due to the big waves.....but overall, I think he had fun! He enjoyed playing with his "cousin" Kenadi (she is 4) and just being outdoors!
Marc wishes this was HIS boat!
We ended the day with a big cajun shrimp boil! Yum!
The splash parks have opened in our area and it's always a hit!
We have had several ducks, rabbits, etc. in our yard this Spring. See the 2 ducks walking....Madden was trying to feed them some bread....but they weren't interested.
Last weekend we went to Ham's Orchard. I'd been hearing about the fresh fruit and veggies they have, blackberries to pick and peach ice cream! It was very crowded, but we still had fun and got lots of yummy stuff! Madden got to go out and pick blackberries. I didn't realize you weren't supposed to pick the red ones (opps!) and the black ones were picked over, so we ended up just buying some at the general store there. Still a fun experience!
