Oh dear. Where did I go wrong?
For now, we are just sticking to singing "Jesus Loves Me". Because, He does. And that is really all Madden needs to understand right now.
I am glad that some of the "story" has stuck with him and he has mentioned Jesus dying on the cross....and one day, I will share more about the HOPE we have of living in Heaven with Jesus for eternity.
Lainey and Pops came in town for the weekend. We didn't do too much, but it was nice. Friday night we went down to the Harbor and fed the ducks. We are really loving the Harbor area this time of year while the evenings are cool. Saturday we did a few jobs (like hanging a swing for Madden) and then rested before loading up and heading to Miller Grove, TX to Stacey's Fish Fry. It was wonderful as always!
Saturday night, we planted some jelly beans in the yard (thank you, Pinterest)!

.....and look what popped up Sunday morning! :)

....shocked!...

.....and excited!

Pops & Lainey & Madden in his new swing! Thanks, Pops!

Sunday morning was a 'work day' for me. We got up early to get 20 dozen bunny donuts for church. They are always a hit!
Madden did AWESOME during church before Kids Journey. He really is getting so grown up!
One funny memory - at church we sang "Low In The Grave He Lay". I love that song - lots of memories at the church where I grew up - my dad led singing and I loved when he led that song. So, in the car on the way home we started singing it and Madden loved it!
Madden got an easter basket and a few new games from Lainey & Pops - Memory & Hi Ho Cheerio. Cascarones were a hit again this year....as was the candy!
We enjoyed a very casual lunch for a change - ham sandwiches on paper plates! Ha! I did make this Strawberry Pretzel Salad which was a new one for me - and it was good!
Lainey & Pops headed back home and we took a LONG nap while it rained outside....the best kind!
Happy Easter! HE IS RISEN!
